The HVAC condenser and charge air cooler can be removed as a unit.

Cab Suspension
3-Point Hood Mounting System
The Columbia’s 3-point hood mounting system allows the hood more flexibility in
movement between the chassis and the firewall.
Reducing the transfer of vibration and movement from the chassis through the
hood to the firewall.
Potential cost of wear and damage to the hood and firewall is reduced
In-Hood Air Plenum
The Columbia’s in-hood air plenum features air intake ducting that is molded
into the hood.
Ducting moves out of the way when the hood is tilted.
Better engine access for service, thus reducing potential maintenance costs
Inner Quarter Fender
The Columbia’s inner quarter fender encloses the hood/fender opening above the
front tire.
Helps to reduce road splash, spray and other contaminants from reaching the
engine compartment while not causing undue limited access for service.
Reduced engine and electrical maintenance expenses. Provides potentially safer
operating area around the truck.
Sun Visor LED Lights
The Columbia features optional LED (Light Emitting Diode) marker lights on the
sun visor.
Draw low current, will last a long time and are permanently sealed.
Provide illumination longer than standard lighting options, thus reducing

Mirrors
West Coast foldaway style mirrors are standard with antenna and heated mirror
wires routed through the mirror bracket.
Impact causes the mirror to fold rather than break upon impact, and that wires
are protected from damage and wear.

Door Panels
All the wiring, controls and motors for door locks, power windows and speakers
are integrated into the door panel rather than the door itself.
Panel with these components can be easily removed and serviced or repaired on a

All sleeper switches, controls and bulbs are mounted into an easily removable
panel.

Two tow hooks rated at 20,000 lbs. each are mounted permanently in the front
bumper.
Permanent mounting does not require that they be located and removed from the
baggage compartment or frame and then remounted on the bumper in an emergency

Rear Sacrificial Panel
The Columbia’s rear sacrificial panel is a narrow, unpainted panel attached to
the rear of the side fairing that takes the damage from loose or broken tire
chains, or road debris kicked up from the tires.
Easy and less expensive to replace than replacing the entire side fairing if
damaged.
Less expensive to repair if damaged.
Air and Electrical Lines
The Columbia’s air lines are color and size coded, and indicate a “from and to”
on the circuit.
Reduced time needed to locate and trace them.
Reduced potential labor cost and downtime to perform repairs.
Dryer Reservoir Module
The Dryer Reservoir Module has been redesigned and the air dryer relocated to
provide a compact and easily serviced unit.
Elimination of a connecting tube, less weight than a conventional system, a
spin-off cartridge on the air dryer, and a consistent location for the air
dryer.
Easier and quicker to maintain, thereby reducing potential maintenance
cost.
Air Tank Drain Cables Air tank drain cables are easily accessed through the fuel tank door
opening.
Air can be easily released, without the driver crawling under the truck.
Physically convenient access to a necessary function that encourages consistent
maintenance that might otherwise be overlooked, thus reducing potential
maintenance expense.
